About
Our Gym
Energia Athletics (formerly CrossFit Greektown) in East Toronto, ON continues the tradition of expert coaching, supportive community, and proven training our members trust. The name has changed, but our dedication to helping you get stronger, healthier, and more confident remains the same.
Jessica & Bernard
Our Story
Jessica and Bernard’s journey with Energia began long before they became its owners. In 2012, after moving to Vancouver, they discovered CrossFit. With no family nearby, the gym quickly became their second home – a place filled with support, laughter, and shared goals. What started as a way to stay active soon grew into a true passion.
They trained, competed, and built lasting friendships. By 2017, Bernard’s dedication to the sport took him all the way to the CrossFit Games Regionals.
Fast forward to 2023: after seven years of being part of the Energia community, Jessica and Bernard became the proud owners of Energia Athletics. For them, it wasn’t just taking over a gym – it was carrying forward the place that had already shaped so much of their lives.
Today, under their leadership, Energia has evolved into more than a CrossFit gym. It’s a hybrid fitness space that brings together CrossFit, Hyrox, Yoga, and Pilates under one roof – blending strength, endurance, and balance into a unique experience.
Their mission is simple: to provide a welcoming, ego-free environment where every member – from first-timer to seasoned athlete – can move well, train safely, and feel part of a community that genuinely cares.

Marika
Coaching at ENERGIA ATHLETICS since 2022, I bring a background in physical and health education to every class. While I enjoy teaching a wide variety of workouts, anything with a barbell is my favorite. What I love most is celebrating members as they hit milestones they once thought impossible. Guided by my motto #YOLO, I’m always up for new adventures-and I encourage others to push their limits both in and out of the gym.
